The Mighty Pacific Leg

Obviously this is what its all about. The video from the 17/18 Clipper round the World race inspired me to go for this adventure and especially this leg 6. It is full of challenges as obviously all the other legs are. But this comes very close to my dream to cross an Ocean. The thought is amazing that in the middle of it you are closer to Astronauts in the space station than to anybody on Earth. Sir Robert uses this picture to explain how remotely disengaged you can be on an Ocean from a normal everyday life. It is time to get out there and proof it for myself.

I am Joerg and my sailing nick name is "Spatz". This was the name of my first boat and I guess nobody knew me in the club. So they called me Spatz. Started sailing 1972. Today I am ready for the SKIRR adventure sailing up North.
